TDS Policy


Statement of Intent

From the viewpoint of safety at work, and in fulfilment of Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the policy of Technical Demolition Services Limited, Dock Road South, Bromborough, Wirral, CH62 4SQ, hereafter named ‘the Company’, is to safeguard, so far as is reasonably practicable, the Health, Safety and Welfare of all Employees.

This applies in particular to the provision and maintenance of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and covers all machinery, equipment and appliances used by Employees.  In order to incorporate the highest standards within this SSoW, the Company integrates the principles of BS6187:2011 Code of Practice and the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 into all demolition and demolition-related operations.

The Company takes as much care as is reasonably practicable to ensure the Health and Safety of other people who may be affected by our activities.

I, as Chairman, consider it is essential, for this policy to operate satisfactorily and to fulfil this aim, to have the full co-operation of all the Employees of the Company.

I therefore give every encouragement to employees to make suggestions and have discussions on any aspect of Health and Safety with both the Directors and Manager with Responsibility for Health and Safety.

It is the firm belief of the mine that, by having a sound attitude to Health and Safety requirements, not only will the well-being of the Employees be assured but also the Company will ultimately be more efficient and thus more profitable.

The allocation of duties for safety matters and particular arrangements, which are made to implement the Policy, are included in this Policy Document.

The Company ensures that suitable and sufficient resources are allocated to ensure the effective management of Health and Safety.

Competent Health and Safety advice is also provided by Perses Limited.

The policy will be kept up to date, and to ensure this, the Policy and the way in which it operates will be reviewed as appropriate and at least every year.
