Our HSE Commitment
Technical Demolition Services Limited’s Organisational structure for Health, Safety, and Environmental management is compiled in our Organisation Chart which forms part of our HSE Policy Operations Manual and is displayed on sites, at all office locations, and at Head Office.
Identified individuals exist within the team structure ensuring that all TDS Operative’s have direct points of contact to talk through HSE issues. Tony G Taperell as Chairman has overall responsibility for HSE, with TDS engaging the services of an external consultancy, Perses Ltd. Site Managers are all fully trained in HSE and will act as first point of contact for specific site enquiries.
Roles and Responsibilities are clearly defined during all phases of the contract and are documented in the HSE Policy Operations Manual.
Technical Demolition Services Limited, based in Wirral, is an independent, privately owned, limited company and has developed into a major international organisation, specialising in demolition, dismantling, asbestos removal and land remediation.
The company has acquired substantial and diverse experience, bringing together knowledgable directors and senior managers to form a highly specialised and experienced management team, able to handle large and complex demolition projects across the UK, Europe and around the globe.

Our HSE Commitment
Technical Demolition Services Limited observes CDM Regulations 2015 which defines duties placed on designers. We ensure we eliminate, reduce or control foreseeable health and safety risks through our design of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
We are aware that work will not commence on a project unless the client is aware of their duties. In preparation of our Methodologies and Risk Assessments we seek to prevent or eliminate, as far as reasonably practicable, foreseeable risks to any person. Should complete elimination not be possible, we seek to reduce as far as reasonably practicable, and control risks. We endeavour to provide information of risks to the principal designer; and ensure appropriate information is included in the health and safety file. We seek to liaise with, and adequately assist other designers, the client, and other contractors engaged to comply with these Regulations.
TDS ensure that all sites and offices are sufficiently staffed with trained and competent teams to maintain optimum Health, Safety, and Environmental performance. All personnel are trained commensurate to their job role and responsibilities.
Site managers will engage in regular monitoring, auditing and review of HSE and this will be enhanced by auditing and reviewing procedures being undertaken by senior management and board directors when attending sites.
TDS also welcomes the opportunity for Client’s HSE Managers or Representatives and external auditors to visit site to assess our competencies. Notably, external audits have been undertaken by Achilles Verify, Considerate Constructor, ACAD (Asbestos), Safer Sphere Limited, and Perses Limited. Any advice given will be discussed and suggestions implemented accordingly.
Regular weekly site safety meetings are undertaken, and Client’s Representatives are encouraged to attend. These are in addition to at least weekly Toolbox Talks which are attended by all members of project teams including any sub contractors and / or consultants engaged on the project.All participants will sign that they have attended. Daily Activity Briefings (DABS) and ‘Take 5’ meetings occur on a daily basis to discuss and take immediate action relating to daily site activities.
